Statement of Faith
The Holy Scriptures
We believe that the
Bible, consisting of both the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired
(God-breathed) Word of God. We also accept the Bible in its entirety as
being without error in the original writings. Therefore, we are committed
to the Bible as our final authority for all Christian life and faith (II
Timothy 3:16-17, II Peter 1:19-21).(Back

The Triune Godhead
We believe in the
Trinity; God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit as one (these three
are co-equal as God) (II Timothy 3:16-17; II Peter 1:19-21).(Back

Jesus is the Son of God
We believe Jesus is the
Son of God. He is part of the Trinity. He is eternal and co-equal with the
Father (John 1:1-5). (Back

Virgin Birth
We believe Jesus Christ
was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin (Matthew 1:22-23).

Perfect Sacrifice
We believe through Jesus
Christ's perfect sacrifice, He died on the cross for our sins. He rose
three days later from the grave to be victorious over death and sin and
will reign as King of Kings for all eternity (I Corinthians 15:3-4). (Back

Salvation
We believe salvation is
the gift of God brought to man by grace and received by personal faith in
the Lord Jesus Christ, whose precious blood was shed on Calvary for the
forgiveness of our sins (Ephesians 2:8-9). (Back

Life
We believe that life
begins at conception (Psalms 139:12-14; Psalms 127:3). (Back

Marriage
We believe marriage is
between a man and a woman (Genesis 2:23). (Back

Creation
We believe in the
Genesis account of the creation of the physical universe (six days and
rested on the seventh), angels and man. Man was created in the image of

Leadership Board &
Team
The members of the LIGHT
Board and the Leadership Team make an annual commitment to volunteer their
time, talent and resources as the Lord leads them, for the edification of
the whole support group. Without their efforts, it would be very difficult
to reach the support group goals. The members of the Board and the
Leadership Team are all born-again Christians, belong to an
"organized" fellowship of believers, and are educating their
children "in the nurture and admonition of the Lord" according
to Ephesians 6.
