Purpose

Keepers at Home opens the door to a world of creativity, crafts, homemaking skills, sports, character training, and just pure delight in being a feminine Christian girl who loves her savior, her family, and her church. A girl's highest goal is to walk in the steps of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Goal

Our goal is for each girl to have a teachable spirit so that they can master the different skills which enable them to become a complete, well-balanced Christian girl who loves God, and who will one day be a proper helpmate and keeper at home.

Activities

As a group, we come together to work on different badges and skills for the girls to learn together. This also provides a wonderful time for daughters and mothers to establish friendships within the group. We also have a hotel sleepover and overnight camp. The girls will receive the badges they earned at the end of the year banquet.

Prerequisite

Membership in Keepers at Home is limited to members of LIGHT who have home schooled daughters 6 years old and above. A child turning six during the year may join at full membership fee after their sixth birthday. Mothers and home schooled daughters must attend the monthly meetings together.

Cost

The membership fee for the year is $15.00 per daughter. The books are 14.00 and may be shared by more than one child. The book is a onetime purchase and will be used for years to come. Average expenditure per daughter is $100.00 for the year due to sleepover, campout, banquet and badges. Participation is optional.

Meetings

Keepers at Home meets the second Tuesday of each month. Please refer to the Keepers Club Calendar below for specific dates.

Our Keepers at Home group meets on the 2nd Tuesday of each month from 7:00 - 9:00 pm, unless noted otherwise.
